sometimes fic is funny

So I'm reading a POTC fic and they mention Ragetti and Pintel....whom I cannot keep straight for the life of me. So here I am, wondering which one is speaking when the author sticks in this line (speaking about Jack): “Or he could've had an accident...,” continued Ragetti, following his own line of reasoning, his eye(s) fixed on the floor.

So far not the best fic I ever did read (don't get me wrong, it's not bad) but that was worth the price of admission.

By being confusing about who Ragetti and Pintel are (since I don't know how the "eye(s)" could be a Roz and Gill tribute)? I actually think that's just me. I can be really bad w/remembering char names. I was talking to a work-friend about Lost the other day and I was blanking on main character names. A dangerous thing to do with a cast as large as the one on Lost, and yet I've been a diehard fan almost from go.
