sometimes fic is funny

So I'm reading a POTC fic and they mention Ragetti and Pintel....whom I cannot keep straight for the life of me. So here I am, wondering which one is speaking when the author sticks in this line (speaking about Jack): “Or he could've had an accident...,” continued Ragetti, following his own line of reasoning, his eye(s) fixed on the floor.

So far not the best fic I ever did read (don't get me wrong, it's not bad) but that was worth the price of admission.
