I recently realized that I can finally finish "Until the Fall" b/c I can download and transfer the whole shebang to my kindle. I know, it's sad that it's taken me this long, but I'll have the whole thing (and sequel!) in my official library. According to my kindle, you will be a published author. Dunno about you, dear, but it makes me happy. *HUGS!*

So team...how do we feel about SciFi's (or siffy as the cool kids say) upcoming Alice? I think we, the TM fans, made this retelling of a classic tale possible.

I have just spent most of the day working on a TM fic. At least this time I can see it's all complete. Will post...soonish.

EDIT: had one of those bathroom moments. It needs flashbacks. Argh.
EDIT2: I'm looking at the fic again. flashbacks might be confusing.

We made it to my Gram's with no trouble and practically in record time. We've actually been here for hours. I had one fitful nap, lots of ponderations about what to do w/my RP char, and now I'm finally watching Tin Man (got to it late) I am having even more ponderations about post-Sorceress-Azkadellia. Dunno if that means there will be more fic or just improved characterization in my current fic, but I guess we'll see.

Um, what else? We opened Christmas gifts. There were tears (Gram's) and slight jeers of the friendly variety. My scarf continues apace :D And I have learned that you really can't sleep and knit at the same time. What else, what else...? I'm extremely tired from being up since 4 with only 5hrs sleep the night before. My own fault. Even Katya told me to go to bed. *snorts*

Nothing else. Now I'm just rambling ;)

I am incredibly, ridiculously, behind in my modified NaNo. So what am I doing? Signing up for Yuletide. It was either that or work on the Tin Man bunny that hopped into my head last night on the way to rehearsal novel.

It made so much more sense in my head but then on paper....and then the time lapse betw starting it at work and finishing it while watching the Olympics (hey, apparently I like volleyball! I'd forgotten how much) and working on a post...this is just not at all what I wanted it to be. And thus it does not go to the fic journal but right here. Don't read. You'll just hurt yourself.

1. Az was the serious and solemn one because she very much wanted to be Queen and a good queen. She wanted to impress her mother.

2. Lavender Eyes gave up everything for Az.

3. Ambrose isn't really that uptight.

4. The Witch didn't always have to initiate all of the badness. Sometimes Az enjoyed watching the OZ suffer.

5. Raw can't handle Az in her current state. Az doesn't want Raw to know how deeply entwined she and the Witch were. They overwhelm each other.

6. The Mystic Man is Adora's father. She and Cain totally had a shotgun wedding. (stolen from kseda. I said it was my new canon and I meant it. It's even got bunnies nipping at its heels)

7. "Lavender Eyes" is actually Ahamo's nickname for the Queen. She's never liked her real name. It's one of those inherited names and she used to hate that chance and genetics got her stuck with one of the cruddier ones. When he asked her one day what it meant, she told him, "Lavender Eyes. The Ancients, while powerful, had moments of extreme literalness." "So why not just go with Lavender Eyes?" "But that's not my name." "Sure it is." "But..." "But what? You like the other one better?" "No. That's not it at all. I detest my name and have all my life. But I can't change my name." "Why not? You're the Royal Princess aren't you? You're going to be queen? Who's going to tell the queen what she can and can't call herself?" And she's been Lavender Eyes ever since.
