"You really want to know?" Priscilla asked, pushing herself up on one elbow so she could look down the length of her body. "Your problem, dear brother, is that you have no grace."

He lifted her bare feet into his lap. "Is that so?"

"Don't think to soften the truth with coddling. You're as subtle as a clown at a ballet. And you don't even realize it," she added as he pushed her feet off his lap. She brought her knees up under the long gray dress and let her head drop onto the couch.

"I didn't think you were against curiosity, Prissy."

She pushed herself back up again, glaring at him. "You prove my point. There are bulls in china shops that have more finesse than you do. If it were possible I would say you should give back the family name."

"I can 'finesse' someone out of their money just as well as anyone else in this family."

Snorting delicately, she tossed a carefully coiffed wave out of her eyes. "You can con, I'll give you that, but you certainly lack elegance."

this is actually a short story and related to an earlier story I wrote called, you guessed it, "Bucking the Trends." i don't believe i've posted it anywhere, but if any of my RL friends should peruse this, they may have a copy of it. mayhap i'll post the first one some day as well...

anywho, happy reading. oh, and unedited. sorry about that.

Raspberry, the hot pink and black panda, was giving him that blank stuffed animal stare when he opened his eyes. )
