This is likely to be the first of many posts with this title...

Anywho, it's Oct 1st thus the official pre-beginning of NaNoWriMo and I can't sign in! The site's not officially up for the new writing year yet. Depressed! What's worse is I almost forgot - truly sad after I've been so simmeringly po'd with my friends for not respecting my season of nanoing. Which sounds silly to anyone who's never nano'ed or witnessed nano or been a Nano-Widow(er). It's a freaking lot of work getting 50,000 words out while trying to live a life and celebrate several birthdays and a major holiday. But I love it, so I do it (even though I've mostly not won) and my friends...don't get it.

It doesn't matter. Nano is coming. Nano is coming!

I'd like to give you some respect for your nano season! If it makes you happy, is harmless, legal, non-fattening...I say, go for it!

It does make me happy and it is legal. Now harmless and non-fattening...I dunno. My feeding schedule's all wonky around nano b/c cranking out 2000 words a night becomes more important than most things. I also go all but AWOL online. Oh I guess I could probably do with less online time, and it gives me a huge boost on my novel.

Well if you're really, honestly, strapped for time, Nano may not be for you. BUT...half of everyone on the site is really honestly strapped for time and frustrated beyond all belief within a week or two. And it is glorious. Even if you fail it just adds fuel to the fire for next year.
