just finished Yon Ill Wind but i cannot for the life of me remember the author, and Touch the Dark by Karen Chance. YIW is part of the "Weather Warden" series which is about 5-6 books deep. TD feels like the beginning of a series.

Uh, thanks, but demons and gargoyles aren't really my thing. The author is Piers Anthony; looks like he's been writing that series for a while. I don't do fantasy; reality is bad enough.

wrong Yon Ill Wind. the one i happen to own and it's less demons and gargoyle than you probably think. the entire Xanth series is very, ahem, punny. the book i read is by....Rachel...Caine? Maybe? darnit. anywho...if you like silly humor you'd like Piers Anthony's Xanth, though I'd start with A Spell for Chamaleon

It was the only listing I saw for Yon Ill Wind on Amazon. Give me a schlocky romance any day; something that makes me smile without having to think overmuch.

I'm rereading LaVyrle Spencer's "Family Blessings." I cried for the first 60-70 pages, but now it's getting to the good stuff.

i realized, right before going to bed, that i hadn't been reading romances, i'd been listening to them. i recently discovered e-audiobooks from my library and went through a mad downloading session. i cna't look right now (dratted job) but i can totally recommend some of those to you.

and i believe someone gave me a LaVyrle book. something about summer? i never got all the way through it

Some of her books are really excellent; some are just kinda cheesy. I think I've read them all, so just give a shout if you're considering one and need an unbiased opinion. LOL
