Last night I went looking for Almost Human fandom...and my first thought was not livejournal. Like at all. Is it time to look for more fannish pasture? Tumblr seems to be all abt the gifs, which I largely find annoying. Am I being a drama queen or am I reading the writing on the wall? Where are ppl finding the most fandom traction & interaction? Maybe I have to rethink fandom interaction. Maybe I have to out my other non-fannish pseuds for a more complete experience. Thoughts, y'all?

If you find where all the fanfiction has gone...

let the rest of us know, please? Many moved off lj and it seems like they all quit writing.

Very much this! Nearly all the comms I follow are dead in the water outside of fests and/or challenges. I'm pretty sure all of the boards on ff.net are for rpg's. Where's the community of writers? Or is that dead I wonder.

I noticed with the Haven comm's I'm in, fanwork is going pretty strong but actually discussion of the episode went to zilch. Which I'm partly to blame too; nobody was starting discussion posts and I didn't want to over step, so now that the season's almost done, I feel like I'm forcing myself to the restarted discussions.

Tumblr is mostly images, but I have seen people post stories and discussions. They are harder to follow depending on the layout of the Tumblr blog, so I usually follow the link to where it's posted that doesn't hurt my eyes.

Personally, I haven't posted to LJ because I've been busy writing and it sucks the words away from other posts. My personal blog suffers from the same thing.
