(no subject)
May. 13th, 2012 12:27 amIt's interesting to me that 1 of the criticisms people have against the existence of the Christian God is why he would bother to make something that has no use, can only be seen occasionally and/or under special circumstances. But when you love someone don't you sometimes do things for no other reason than to see them smile? If, as Christians believe, we are made in the image of God...that we are an imperfect reflection of him, why wouldn't the God who loves us best not want to give us rare mountain flowers, or a solar eclipse or an aurora borealis just to see us smile? He's the God of all things -- why shouldn't his just-because gifts be breathtaking?
