what in the name of God and Heaven have i gotten myself into

So Saturday was mine and my friend's joint b'day party. As usual it felt more like her b'day party, or two b'day parties but...that's neither here nor there. I'm not actually on to rant about that aspect of things. Oh no. I'd like to rant about the fact that I had to go to a party in the middle of Nano! I completely lost Saturday in so many ways. I had a month's worth of laundry to do (okay so that one's my fault) plus some last minute shopping (okay so I got an unexpected pair of cute boots out of that) and then when I was finally ready to leave they wouldn't let me. What happened to the birthday girl getting her way? So while I could have gone to bed around, say, 11:30/midnight I went to bed more like 1/1:30. When I say I have to get up early on Sunday, I mean it people! And then our neighbors upstairs were having a party until 3 - or so Mom told me. At that point I was so tired we could have had a quake and I wouldn't have noticed. And I got up okay but...I had had a long day before and it's been a long sleepless November and there's still Thanksgiving to contend with. Sigh. Can you hear the whine yet?

Anywho, so, no writing done on Saturday despite hopes to the contrary. Aaaaand, I forgot to mention, I got totally distracted by Mom on Friday so I only made half my quota. So here comes Sunday night and not only do I have to do my regular 2k but Saturday's 2k and 1k from Friday. 5000 words people! *faints* Supposedly I'm trying to make up the 2k I lost that time we had work done in the apartment but I'm just so freakin' tired! I'm happy to have made up the words I missed Fri and Sat. But now I'm completely beat.

Does this mean I wish I had been home writing instead of out w/my friends? Not exactly. Do I wish they would have friggin let me go home? You bet your bottom dollar!

Oh, and my back hurts.
