Oddly enough even though most of my flist are fannish I don't think this will touch on most of you, so feel free to skip if you don't see a tag that peaks your interest.

❀ everyone has dirty fandom secrets or guilty pleasures or unpopular opinions.
❀ list five of yours.
❀ get cries of OMG YOU TOO or WTF ARE YOU SMOKING
❀ profit.

1. Neal McDonough? Cutey. Wyatt Cain? Kinda stout. Neal McDonough's pertuttie, esp when he's gotten in shape for a role? Nice! Wyatt Cain's pertuttie, fresh out of tiny torture chamber? Flabby and not worth the linger.

2. Tara MaClay was a Bad Character. Period. She wasn't bad because she was gay. She was a bad character because she was poorly written, horribly flat and very wooden. It made her relationship with Willow (pre-Black-Eyes-Evil) hard to understand. She had one moment of 3-dimensionality that, very briefly, gave me hope. Okay maybe 2 moments. Then everyone got their memories back and my hope died

3. Roy Dupuis is a funny looking man. Michael Samuelle is hot. Much like my Neal McDonough vs. Wyatt Cain thing...Roy's got these tiny, close set eyes and strangely carved mouth. He's compelling, and he's certainly got presence, but I'd much rather be moony over Michael than Roy. (And truth to tell, sometimes Michael's funny lookin' too, but I'd be too scared to tell him to his face :-\ )

4. I like Voyager.

5. I think I'd rather watch Alice than Tin Man, though there's not a lick of fic in me for Alice except for that one idea Erin put in my head, but we don't talk about that.

Ah, Cain's physique. I usually cover my eyes when reading through descriptions of him falling from the suit, all sculpted and perfect. Glitch and DG might be able to work miracles with a haircut, but they definitely didn't have a home-gym in their pockets.

I actually like a realistic, post-suit Wyatt. Flabby or no, handsome is handsome. ;)

(And I never liked Tara much either.)

ROFL!!!

I will admit to altering Cain's hair to be more white-blond than it was on TM, though, even if only in my head.

RE: Cain's pertuttie — I was more interested in the view from the front than the back... >.>

LOL! I shall keep that in mind during my next viewing!

LOL! I was just shocked at the *size* of it. Cause, yeah...after however-many-years in the suit, it should have been a lot smaller, lol.

All that steam. There should have been shrinkage.

At least a little bit. xD

Do you have to have fic for what you enjoy watching? I was gobsmacked, head-over-heels in love with BSG, but had no fic for it. There's a longer list of shows that fall under that heading than ones I write fanfics for.

I don't have to have fic for something I like. It does seem to be one of the Marks Of A True Fan, but that's probably only in my head. I mean I loved, loved, loved The X-Files but I don't have any fic for it. I'm not even all that interested in X-Files fic, come to think of it. But, y'know, sometimes you feel like you should? It's all in my head, I'm sure. There are certainly a number of book series that I love but have no fic for.

I can't agree with the Mark of "True" Fan thing. It's always come down in degrees for me. So my categories are:

A. It makes me happy to watch/read/whichever. Already mentioned BSG, but Doctor Who, Star Trek, X-Files, and a few more I can't think of fall under this.

B. It makes me happy but internal inconsistencies must be fixed! And that means fanfic.

Well like I said, I'm pretty sure the "Mark of True Fan" is my own kookie issue, like the problems I have with sharing. Seriously, I go hunting down missing post-it pads vowing vengeance on the miscreant who dared to take it. And then I get over myself, but you see how my head-space can need internal managing.

Oh hon, that is all of us. Me: I'm trying to stay out of the negative because some people are tired of fandom troupes that I'm not done exploring (nor are other new people who trickle into the fandom). I haven't bitten my tongue off yet nor have I typed anything that could cause a flame war, so WIN!
