Most of these are no surprise to anyone on my f-lists or who have perused my fics: Buffy/Oz, Anya/Oz, Anya/Spike, Cain/Azkadellia, Jeb/DG (but only b/c of erinm_4600, Weevil/Veronica, Mal/River (that scene in Serenity man...), Rory/Anyone-but-Logan-and-Tristan and, b/c I can't think of anymore offhand, Obi-Wan/Padme. Oh...and there's one Roswell pairing. I can see it in my head but I can't think of their names...Michael/Max's-Sister...

absolutely. And a lot of my non-ships for TM are just things that don't do anything for me on paper. I know there's a huge (for us) Glitch/Az following in fandom, but when I see it as the pairing I'm all "Eh...let's see what else there is" On the other hand if you, or someone else I generally like, write it I might actually give it a shot. But I'm not into trying a meh-ship on a new writer.

Spike and Anya do end up "buffing the table" in the Magik Box. Though it turns out to be merely a one night stand.

Mal and River? OMG now that is just creepy. It has pediphelia written all over it. Mal is soo much more like a daddy figure, and her a daughter... Creeeeeepy...

I do think it would be funny, since watching "War Stories" to see a Mal/Zoe pairing. From a purely comedic standpoint.

I know the potential squick factor is extremely high. But you know fandom...we just re-age ppl at will, write a future-fic, the usual.

Randomly, though, I am a Simon/Zoe shipper, but as far as I know there's only one story floating out there (which is how I became a fan).

That might be where I got initial picture from, but I know a bunch of us (possibly on OzMIA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozmia)) about strange pairings--particularly for Oz, but you know how ppl tend to wander.
