So we had what we called a Free Market at church today where we just gave stuff away. It went well. Most of the stuff brought was nice. Folks seemed to like the stuff they got.

Folks also happened to take stuff, and tried to take stuff, we hadn't actually intended for them to take. Some were things that one of our elders was thinking to donate to the Haiti relief fund in her building. Some were things we didn't think anyone would want, quite frankly. One was my crocheting.

Yes, someone picked up my half-worked, needle still in the square and looped around the spare yarn, ball-o-yarn in a discount drugstore bag square of baby-blue crochet...whatever the heck it is.

Admittedly it was very near the stuff we were giving away, and I had had thoughts of moving near our personal things, but I thought it was pretty obvious that it was being worked...and then I completely forgot about it.

More than anything I'm amused. In one sense it wasn't the strangest thing that someone took. That I'm not willing to share in a public post. In the other sense...I miss my crocheting :( And my needle! It came with my learn-to-knit kit. Anywho, it's a great excuse to go buy more needles! :D
