tinpraIt made so much more sense in my head but then on paper....and then the time lapse betw starting it at work and finishing it while watching the Olympics (hey, apparently I like volleyball! I'd forgotten how much) and working on a post...this is just not at all what I wanted it to be. And thus it does not go to the fic journal but right here. Don't read. You'll just hurt yourself.
Hands clenched tight the sisters turned from the slick oozing at their feet to the other's smiling, grinning face. "We did it."
"It's over."
“My sister…"
"I never thought…"
"I know. I…I'm so sorry…"
"It's not your fault."
"Forgive me?"
"If you forgive me."

They ran into their parents as they cleared the landing. They were holding hands, too. Silence reigned until Cain and Glitch and Raw found them. They didn't know how long they'd been standing there before they were found.
“Dear ones.”
“Mom…Dad?”
“Um…”
“All my girls, all in one place. I thought I’d never see the day.”
“Right. Um, about that—”
“DG?”
“Yeah, Az?”
“Darling, you don’t look well.”
“I don’t—”
“Az!”
“Azkadellia?”
“I’m all right I’m just…cold. So cold.”
The Queen crossed the space between them in two long strides. She touched her eldest’s face. “Az? Sweetheart?”
“I’m…I’m all right, Mom. I’m just—” It was like a giant hand grabbed her around the middle and shook her once, hard. “…cold.”
Ahamo has her in his arms before she can hit the floor.
He won’t let any of them touch her.
