Sep. 16th, 2009 09:44 pmI have this huge project to do at work that will keep me from my computer and beloved internet radio for the near future (at least a month). So with that in mind, I'm trying to stock up on audiobooks. I'm thinking of trying the Sherlock Holmes stories. Robert Downey Jr. is staring as Hohlmes himself come Christmas (and I'm shocked one of my friends hasn't been beating us all over the head with it), and, heck...it's Holmes. Data loved Holmes. Who doesn't love Holmes?
My problem? Where to start. The Sherlock Holmes stories are something I've always wanted to get into but never got around to. My library has an audiobook version of the books in a vol 1 and a vol 2, but they're only a couple of hours each. That seems way too short.
Suggestions anyone?
Also, if anyone has suggestions for any mystery, scifi, scifi/fantasy, thriller, adventure audiobooks, I'm all ears. And eyes. I'm only anti-comedic books (this is not barring books w/comedic moments) b/c my office has an open plan and so my uproarious laughter will interrupt more ppl than is wise.
Thanks!
