Happy Longest Day of the Year!
Happy Summer Solstice!
Have I ever mentioned how much I love the solstices? Summer Solstice = longest day of the year. Personally I think it should be declared International Play Day.
Winter Solstice = days getting longer. And even though you can't really see it at first, just about the time when the winter is at it's dreariest and seemingly most never-ending, there will be just a hint of light at the "wrong" time. I always think of it as God's promise that it won't be dark and dreary and cold and unforgiving forever. The light is coming. Warmth is coming. It may be cold, but there is light, and where there's light there's hope.
